Challenges of making a secure password generator
The final result will be available to use at ModuTools. The challenges Challenge 1: Security This is the hardest one to overcome, first there’s 2 options. Option 1 is to generate the passwords on the server side, this is insecure as this means the server, and all proxy servers between the server and the client, are able to access the password. Option 2 is to generate the password on the client. This sounds more ideal, but it is still not a perfect solution, as clients can be compromised. This means that if an attacker gains access to a system, they can interfere with the random generation, resulting in them possibly knowing the generated passwords. ...
